Description
- Evergreen arborvitae: Thuja occidentalis 'Smaragd' forms fresh green, finely structured foliage that remains dense and colorfast year-round.
- Sunny to partially shaded location: thrives in well-drained, humus-rich soil and tolerates typical garden conditions once established.
- Narrow, columnar growth: grows densely and upright, usually reaching 45 m in height and 12 m in width, with annual growth of approximately 2530 cm.
- Easy-care plant: requires regular watering during establishment, tolerates shaping well, and withstands frost due to good winter hardiness without special protection.
- Dense hedge plant: suitable for privacy hedges, row planting along property boundaries, or as a solitary plant; supplied as well-rooted container-grown plants.
