6 mm clear tempered glass panels, custom-cut up to 90 x 180 cm (900 x 1800 mm), with ground and polished edges and blunted corners. Tempered glass without a stamp, resistant to bending and impact. Tempered safety glass (ESG) is thermally toughened, making it considerably stronger than ordinary glass, particularly against impact and bending. It is also less sensitive when, for example, hot objects are placed on a glass tabletop. In the event of breakage, tempered glass disintegrates into small glass fragments, minimizing the risk of injury. For these reasons, tempered safety glass is used, for example, for tabletops and as glass panels for door and window infills. Tempered glass must not be modified after manufacture, for example by drilling or sawing.
