The air purification system consists of a pre-filter fleece and an activated carbon filter. It works effectively at up to 70% relative humidity and a maximum temperature of 70C. Activated carbon filters are used in gastronomy, industry, and plant cultivation to clean the air of organic pollutants such as gasoline, solvents, and pesticides. The pollutants reliably adhere to the activated carbon and are absorbed. The filter's very large surface area allows substantial amounts of pollutants to be filtered from the air. Activated carbon reliably binds odor particles. However, the absorption capacity depends on the pollutant concentration, humidity, and operating temperature. To maximize filter service life, the extractor fan's performance should be taken into account. Replacing the pre-filter fleece can also help extend the service life. Function: The activated carbon filter is connected to an extractor fan using a suitable flexible duct. Air drawn in by the extractor fan then flows through the activated carbon and is cleaned of odors. However, the performance of the extractor fan decreases as the activated carbon filter size is reduced.
