MESAROS carriage bolts with square necks and full threads (DIN 603) and self-locking cap nuts (DIN 986). Product information: The carriage bolts are particularly suitable for wood or metal connections. They can withstand higher loads and can be installed indoors or outdoors. The bolts have a flat, rounded head. Accordingly, they have no drive and cannot be installed with a screwdriver or wrench. To fasten them, insert the bolt through the drilled hole and thread a nut onto the back. This secures the square neck located directly beneath the head. For best results, the additional use of washers is recommended; these are also available in our shop. Cap nuts are frequently used with carriage bolts. They are generally used for fastening all types of transport equipment with moving components. The cap nut has a non-metallic polyamide locking insert that prevents it from loosening on its own. They can be tightened with an open-end wrench or socket wrench. They can be used in areas such as mechanical engineering, securing scaffolding, and many others.
