Description
- Georgette, a member of the crepe fabric family, is a woven textile known for its semi-transparent quality, subtly textured surface, and graceful drape.
- Made from tightly twisted yarns, it has a distinctive crinkled appearance. Unlike chiffon, Georgette has a matte finish and is slightly thicker and less sheer.
- While crepe fabrics were traditionally made from silk, modern versions are often made from polyester, viscose, or other synthetic fibers.
- A beautiful, lightweight fabric ideal for dressmaking.
- Fabric weight: approximately 68 g/m.
- Recommended washing temperature: 30C.
- Allow for 10% shrinkage and always test a sample first to determine the most suitable washing method for your fabric.
- Approximate width: 144 cm.
- Fabric is cut from the roll and shipped in one continuous piece. If this is not possible for any reason, we will contact you to discuss the options.
- We recommend washing all fabrics before making, using the intended washing and drying methods, to help prevent shrinkage.
