STROFT GTP Type R line: Type R is the proven GTP line, previously offered in strengths Type 1 through Type 12. These strengths are now designated Type R1 through Type R12. The R stands for round and tight. Previously, it was not possible to produce lines this fine because the individual fibers were not fine enough, and the number of fibers per braid strand was therefore too low. A new, even finer UHMWPE fiber now makes this range possible. Type R is produced using special braiding processes. The STROFT special braid, consisting of, for example, 300 8 = 2,400 individual fibers for Type R12, creates an almost perfectly round line profile with arrow-shaped dimples on the surface. During casting, these dimples create turbulent airflow that reduces air resistance and enables longer casts, similar to the dimples on a golf ball. The following colors are available: light gray, green, orange, fluorescent pink, light blue, dark brown, and multicolor. With the multicolor option, the line color changes every 10 meters. Key features: Roundness, internal strength, air resistance.
