Description

  • Full-size, self-contained filter. Appears to the human eye as a flat piece of black glass. Ring is matte black/silver and unmarked.
  • Can also be used for infrared photography. Infrared camera film is highly sensitive, and images are visible in the infrared range. Applications include seeing through clouds, detecting forged documents and normally invisible images, crime-scene analysis, and Kirlian photography.
  • Blocks 99% of visible light; only infrared light is removed. Technically, the naked eye cannot see 100% black, but an IR filter and a camera's professional functions can create this effect.
  • An IR filter blocks all visible light and allows only infrared light to pass through. Suitable for infrared-sensitive cameras. Made of optically precision-ground and polished glass; appears completely black to the human eye. Under strong light, an 850 nm filter shows dark filaments, while a 950 nm filter appears completely opaque.
  • Can be used in various covert security and surveillance applications. Combined with an infrared light source and an infrared-sensitive camera, it enables viewing in complete darkness. Hunters searching for prey at night can use the filters. The filters not only make it harder for hunters to be seen, but animals also tend to reduce their movements because infrared light carries some heat.
